Ooonimals executive directors Noam and Irene Krasniansky first thought of Ooonimals in 2009. At the same time, they released Bambooee, a product that gained success and appeared on ABCs SharkTank. Bambooee and the cause to planting trees diverted the Krasniansky's attention for some years. But In 2018 Ooonimals gained front burner status and the possibility of making their trading-type game from thought to actuality became a reality. The concept of the Ooonimals Universe and trading mint and jack idea stems from the fact that both Krasnianskys' grew up with a lack of friends. Noam, because his family moved from country to country often and he didn't have any lasting friendships. Irene, because she was just generally shy. They also both grew up without video games and fancy electronic toys. With Ooonimals they wanted to create something that fostered friendship, and rewarded players that rejected "clicks" and made new friends. They wanted a way to check the ever growing individuation children currently experience with a screen continuously in your face and give them a opportunity to exchange with others. If kids are to be continuously on a phone or iPad shouldn't it be an activity that promotes and encourages kindness and friend making. Ooonimals players have three general goals: to collect mint and jack, trade them either in person with friends or through the Ooonmials App (mint and jack are sent to the OOO Clearing House for trading), and gifting Friendship mint to foster new friendships.
